 BASSETERRE, St Kitts (SKNIS): A delegation from Anguilla is in St Kitts to tour the health facilities and explore ways to deepen cooperation. The three-man touring group is headed by Minister of Social Development Evans McNeil Rogers, who spent Friday morning in meetings with the Minister of Health.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados: The Caribbean Broadcast Media Partnership on HIV/AIDS (CBMP) and Scotiabank in collaboration with the Barbados Ministry of Health has announced a new regional HIV testing pilot program that will culminate with on-site HIV testing local branches of Scotiabank on June 27, 2008.

 CASTRIES, St Lucia: The OECS Secretariat has announced that on April 24 the Secretariat communicated to the Lord High Chancellor, Jack Straw, a recommendation for the appointment of Justice Hugh Anthony Rawlins, to the position of Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

The delegation will be returning to Nevis on Monday.

THE VALLEY, Anguilla: Plans are underway for Anguilla to be represented at the Caribbean Festival of the Arts (CARIFESTA) from 22nd – 31st August, 2008. This tenth edition of the regional mega festival will be returning to its place of birth, Guyana. The festival was first held in 1972.

 CHARLESTOWN, Nevis: A delegation comprised of government officials from Anguilla traveled to Nevis last week to hold talks with the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) and to visit the geothermal site at Spring Hill. They were briefed by officials from West Indies Power Nevis Limited (WIP).
